Young Adults
We believe in the absolute sovereignty of God in all matters pertaining to creation, providence and salvation.
Our young adult’s ministry seeks to disciple, equip and encourage the group of students, young workers, asylum seekers and refugees that attend Harper, in these formative years of life.
We strive to ensure that all who attend grow in maturity, holiness and in their love for God and neighbour.
To do that, we seek to gather weekly to teach God’s word, study God’s word, pray God’s word and sometimes sing God’s word also.
The group meets on Friday’s between 8 pm – 10 pm (although often doors open earlier 7:30/45 pm), and is for young adults aged “18-30 years.”
We have a weekly gathering, usually in different people’s homes, where we enjoy studying the bible and praying together. Our regular plan is to deliver expository teaching from the scriptures, sometimes followed on by discussion of the passage, and also times of prayer in response to God’s word.
Not only do we regularly study the Bible and pray together, but we also understand that God, through his son, has brought us into relationship with one another, and so we try and give regular occasions for meaningful fellowship (planned or unplanned) where we seek to see these relationships grow and flourish (including our much loved weekend away).
We want every young adult to know Jesus better, to be well supported, and to feel like they have a home here at Harper.
